Shieldex® Boston

Two functions in one textile! Shieldex Boston is the latest product development from Shieldex. The special feature is the polyurethane coating on both sides. With a conductive side, this fabric metallized with silver is ideal for sensor applications. The non-conductive reverse side, on the other hand, allows it to be used in various other applications, such as the apparel and outdoor industries.

Features & Applications

Shieldex® Boston

Shieldex Boston is a pure silver metallized polyamide ripstop fabric. The special features of this conductive fabric are the different properties of the front and back side of the textile. With an electrical resistance of < 0.3 Ω/□ (max. < 0.5 Ω/□) on one side of the fabric, Shieldex Boston is ideal for sensor applications in the field of technical textiles and smart wearables. In addition, it is already being used successfully in the field of electrodes. The reverse side of the textile also features a PU coating. However, this PU coating is not electrically and thermally conductive, but is water-repellent and resistant to external environmental influences. Consequently, Shieldex Boston can also be used as an outer material for shielding tents, as a reinforcing material for personal protective equipment (e.g. gloves) or in the apparel industry for sports and outdoor clothing. RoHS and REACH conformity is given.
